Growing our Fringe

The 2020 Cheadle Arts Festival is running from 5th June for 4 weeks.

We are in the process of putting together the 2020 schedule which includes:
  • Open Arts Exhibition,
  • Ticketed Arts Events and Entertainment,
  • Participation & Learning events (demos, workshops, open studios),
  • 'High Street Gallery' (a showcase for community arts groups),
  • Art & Craft Market,
  • The Cheadle Fringe!
We are still wanting to hear from artists, community groups and performers about any aspect of the above. When we say 'artists' we mean the broadest possible definition - visual arts, dance, drama, music, singing, crafts, comedy, writing, food art, flowers, etc....

A note about the Fringe: We want to reach out to local venues in Cheadle so that we have a full What's On diary of the growing Cheadle Fringe! We are taking the role of Fringe co-ordinator, matching up artists and activities to suitable venues and ensuring that similar events don't clash dates.

Our next consultation and planning meeting is on 22nd October. Representatives from local groups and venues are invited to come and find out more and add their ideas. RSVPs are required so that we can manage the meeting room at No16 Coffee House.

Please note -  this is a group effort in collaboration with other local organisations and businesses. We have a growing core team of organisers that are pulling up their sleeves and helping to put together the new look Cheadle Arts Festival. I won't name them individually here, please do come and meet us at the next planning meeting.
